Pick up your Lenten Reflections booklet composed by faculty, staff, students and friends of Villanova University (includes the daily readings) from the offices of Mission & Ministry in Corr Hall and and Campus Ministry in St. Rita’s Hall! They can also be accessed here.

COMPS/THESIS PARTY! Friday, March 27th at 8 pm come celebrate the completion of the 2nd years’ comps and theses at Jonathan’s in Wayne! All are welcome to attend. Beverages and snacks will be provided but feel free to bring something to share. Please let Kristin or Mariana know if you are coming so we know how much food/drinks to get.

GTSC Spring Retreat! Save the date: April 10th – 12th at Ocean City, NJ. Email Kristin if interested in attending. This relaxing weekend will be spent at a beach house and will include spending time with your fellow classmates, various forms of prayer, activities, service and fun! Guaranteed to a be a great time! Prayers for Peace and Justice 4:30 – 5 pm in the Lower Level Community Room in St. Rita’s/the Fishbowl: A time to pray for those in crisis and situations of struggle throughout the world.  Drawing inspiration from diverse faith traditions—open and welcoming to all.

Centering prayer 12:30-1 – St. Rita Community Room in Campus Ministry

4:30 – 6 pm “C.S. Lewis: Why He Matters Today” lecture by Dr. Devin Brown, English professor in the Villanova Cinema. Copies of “An Observed Life: A Spiritual Biography of C.S. Lewis” will be available for purchase!

Stations of the Cross 7:30 pm across campus – The object of the Stations of the Cross is to help the faithful to make a spiritual pilgrimage of prayer through meditating upon the chief scenes of Christ’s sufferings and death.

Come listen to Jim Ziolkowski speak at 7 pm in the Church! He is the president, CEO, and found of BuildOn, a non-profit organization that builds schools in developing countries.

Friday, Mar. 20th

Interested in learning Latin or brushing up on your Latin skills? Come read and translate Augustine’s Confessions with Carl! 12:05 Mass first and then Latin in the Lounge. Email Carl at if you plan on attending.

The book club will be reading Evelyn Waugh’s “Brideshead Revisited” this semester! Email Michael Hagan at if interested in participating. First meeting will be Friday, March 20th at 7 pm at Eric’s apartment. We will be breaking the book up into two sections.  The second meeting will be in April.

Saturday, March 21st

The Villanova Campus chapter of Habitat for Humanity is co-sponsoring the Build A House, Build A Dream contest for 5th graders in the Delaware Valley. Volunteers are needed for the day between 8 am – 2 pm. Contact Tim O’Connell for more information.
